What’s on Tap & On Menu at the Pub
Winter has arrived in Fernie! That means powder ski days at Fernie Alpine Resort, Ghostrider hockey games, snow shoveling (ugh) and enjoying a cozy night out at your local Fernie pub!
For this On Tap & On Menu post, we thought we would highlight one of the featured new dishes on the winter menu, German Ham & Potato Dumplings. This dish is quickly becoming a fan favourite and features Schweinshaxen German ham with potato dumplings, served with roasted seasonal vegetables & aus jus.
According to our Pub servers, this dish pairs perfectly with Fernie Brewing Co’s What the Huck Berry Ale. Blended with wheat to create a smooth and creamy beer, a touch of berries is added post-fermentation to ensure the deep colour and slight sweetness of the berries remain and are a great compliment to the flavors of the ham & dumplings. This beer is always on tap and is a year-round beer-of-choice in Fernie!
